If I could create a new element, I would want it to (impossibly) sit below Bismuth in atomic mass. I would not like to create a radioactive element – or one with a common radioactive isotope. I like the idea of producing a semi-metalloid element, similar to carbon, or silicon, which would have high tensile strength, abundance and stability, yet still be able to form useful stable compounds.
