      Hello becky96,

      I sort of fell into it really, I did science, Geology degree, worked a few years, then got into forensics. I find forensic really interesting, not just the human angle, looking for mineshafts is a bit less exciting!

      Definitely encourage my son to go into science – obviously it is his own choice but he seems interested in it at the moment – especially dinosaurs! I just did a ‘show and tell’ of dinosaurs at his primary school which they seem to love, I dont know why science isnt seen as fun at secondary. My daughter is only 3 though so a little young yet!

      Hi Becky

      I wanted to become a doctor when I was at school. I studied all three sciences at GCSE and A level. For some strange reason that I cannot remember, I joined the police.

      I really belive that if you have an interest in science it never leaves you. I found that I enjoyed investigating road crashes and joined the Traffic division. From there I worked my way into the Forensic Collision Investigation Unit. The job uses all of my sciences, particularly physics and biology, along with maths. It is the application of your school lesson maths and science into the real world, that I really enjoy.
