• Question: what is a carbon footprint? :P

      Hello James,

      The carbon footprint as I understand it is the net carbon dioxide generated in the production of a prduct, transportation, or the value of something.

      For instance, although bananas might be fairly easy to grow in the carribbean and to have a low carbon footprint, the transportation acors some 5000 miles to our shop shelves involves a lot of fossil fuel for the ships and the trucks to transport them. hence they have a high carbon footprint.

      I am sorry, but I don’t know how the carbon footprint is calculated.
