I have a young family so we often go swimming/biking or something similar.
At the moment though it is teaching time, so I am often in at work at the weekends, last weekend for example was an Open day for potential students who want to come this Autumn, so they can have a look around and see if they like it! I am also running a public awareness in science event this Saturday at a local museum, see http://www.csistoke.org.uk for more info.
I often take undergraduates away on field trips on weekends as well, to do fieldwork, and look at all sorts of things.
So busy busy busy! And the odd running race if I can fit it in!
Hi John and Kelly,
I work shifts, so I have two free weekends a month. At the moment, I am researching for a new driver psychology project. I also enjoy running up on the South Downs, cycling, spending time with my family, although my eldest daughter is a 2nd yr student at uni. Generally, just chilling, away from work.
depends a lot I often work over the week ends at least part of the time at any rate. This week end I’m setting fire to some samples for my students to analyse next week…. otherwise I like to go camping when the weather is ok and catch up with friends
LOTS! Saturdays: usually spend a couple of hours in bed or out in the countryside relaxing, before teaching acrobatics until about 5pm, then I do PhD work in the evenings.
Sundays – PhD work mostly, sometimes skiing, walking, teaching acro, seeing friends etc.
Some weekends I have my step daughter to stay also, so I am always busy. Never a dull day 🙂
