• Question: what did you have to do to get in forensic science and after this if you didnt like it could you go straight in the police? when you go to the crimescenes and find finger prints is that forensic thank ou jess please answer these questions and which is the easiest way to get in to forensic science and do you enjoy it :)

      Hi Jess

      Usually, to get a job as a forensic scientist, you would need a good degree in chemistry, biology or (depending on the content of the degree), forensic sicence. If you changed your mind after your degree, there is no harm in you applying for the police although in the current climate, there is a freeze on police recruitment.

      Yes, when you go to a crime scene and recover fingerprints, this falls under the heading of forensic science. I enjoy teaching forensic science but I personally haven’t worked as a forensic scientist so therefore cannot comment 🙂
