Question: (Similarly to CSI, Bones will be my subject). Evaluate the similarities and differences between series like CSI/Bones and real life scientific work. (Note: When referring to the shows, I am reffering to their level of scientific accuracy, not their side lines of romance etc)

Yes, I agree. Bones is more non-fiction! It is based on a real Forensic Anthropologists book. They can take days/weeks to complete a murder enquiry. And months between each of the enquiries. And more realistically, they can get things wrong and try to correct them, but I agree, in the end, they always get the correct results, even if its over many episodes.

Hi bones – Kathy Reichs, as you said is a real forensic anthropologist and a very well respected one within the profession, it makes a huge difference to the quality and the accuracy of the writing !! Is it forensic anthropology you have an interest in ?
bones commented on :
Yes. It’s not the only interest within Forensic Science but it is an ambition. I’m interested in all of the jobs featured in Bones and the Scientists on this website so you could just say Forensic Science 🙂
