• Question: Is it ture that the big bang happened

      Hello rocket,

      That is a big science and philosophical question, and completely beyond my area of expertise! Physicists do think that it has happened, as they can trace the remnant energy create from ‘The Big Bang’ and work out how far back in time that it happened, but no-one really knows for certain. That’s as much as I know about it, sorry!

      Hello Rocket,
      I am not in any way an expert in astrophysics. Perhaps someone in the Space Zone will be able to help you on this one.
      However, the theory sounds good and it does give us some answers as to how old the universe is, how big it is and how it is still expanding. It also suggests an age for the Earth. Good luck with your question.

      Its one theory… there are other theories as well to explain the start of the Universe but the big bang is the one that most accepted
