      Hi Bones,

I think that I get the drift of your question. This event has captured the attention of industry because it creates a direct link with real scientists who, in turn, can relate to the students how the science and maths that they are learning in school has a real use in the outside world. It is the enthusing and engaging with young scientists that promotes encouragement to the forensic scientists of tomorrow, to take over when I retire!

      Thank you Bones.

Good question, I was browsing the website last night and saw people/companies could give £5,000 to fund one zone, pretty steep! But necessary due to all the background work going on behind the scenes.

I think this process has been a great way for you students to interact directly with us scientists, I hope so anyway! You can ask us anything you like, and hopefully realise that we are normal, just like you but a few years ahead, we dont know the answer to everything but are pretty good at the jobs that we do.

Both live chats and questions are a great way of information exchange and hopefully some of you students will be enthused about science, carry on with it and, who knows? Perhaps become the scientists of tomorrow and replace us!
